Only permanent ice rink in Costa Rica and all of Central America (excluding Mexico). Private country club rink. Smaller than NHL size. Active for 20+ years. Home of Costa Rica national ice hockey team (Castillo Knights). Hosts annual international tournament (teams from USA, Guatemala, etc.). ISU figure skating national championship held here Jan 2025 (first ever in CR).
